When should i do the Newborn session?
Ideally the best time for you to have your newborn session is before they turn two weeks old, you are not limited to this but it does help a great deal. In this time they are super sleepy and easy to curl up into those cute little positions that we all find adorable. This is purely a guide though as i know sometimes this just isn't possible, i promise if you can't do it within the first two weeks that your baby is just as adorable no matter what age.
Do i have to bring props?
If you have booked a studio session then the only props i would suggest to bring is anything sentimental to you and your family. I.E a first teddy, a muslin or a blanket that has been in the family for a long time. If your are forces then your cap.
If you have opted for a lifestyle session at your home then same rule applies but its not necessary.
What is Lifestyle Photography?
Lifestyle Photography helps capture you and your family in your very own natural environment. The place you call home. This is one of my favourite things to do because you've just had a baby and your super tired but also in that loved up gorgeous bubble. Where better to capture this than in the surrounding you feel most comfortable in. The comfort of your sofa, bed or even the beautiful nursery you spent hours and days working on for your new arrival. These session can capture the very essence of your family.
Are you going to make us say CHEEEEESE!?!
Nope, the magic of lifestyle sessions is to capture your pictures as natural as i can. I will use prompts to help where i can, but none of those prompts will have you saying 'cheese' or 'silly sausages'. I want to help bring out the best in you for your session and for you to shine the way your loved ones see you and the way you see your children.
What should we wear?
Ideally for your session you want to wear what you feel most comfortable in. Colours that really compliment your skin tones. A good idea is to go on Pinterest or my Instagram and have a look at what other people are wearing. Keeping in simple is always a winner in my eyes.
